The Switzerland Vignette is an annual toll sticker required for all vehicles (cars, motorcycles, motorhomes) using Swiss national motorways (Autobahns and Autostrassen). It's a single flat fee for the calendar year, making it simple for travelers to access the extensive network of high-speed roads.

The cost of the Swiss vignette is currently CHF 40. It's valid from December 1st of the preceding year to January 31st of the following year (a total of 14 months), offering extended validity for early purchasers.

Vignettes can be purchased at Swiss border crossings, post offices, petrol stations, and some garages in Switzerland. They are also available in neighboring countries close to the Swiss border. For added convenience, an electronic vignette (e-vignette) is also available online, allowing for seamless purchase before your journey.

Driving on Swiss motorways without a valid and properly affixed vignette can result in a hefty fine of CHF 200, plus the mandatory immediate purchase of a new vignette. This applies even for short stretches, so it's crucial to ensure you have one before entering the motorway system.
